A shared 11+ entrance exam used by 13 grammar schools, administered by GL Assessment, testing Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning. Two multiple-choice papers administered by GL Assessment. Paper 1: Verbal Reasoning (50 min). Paper 2: Non-Verbal Reasoning (50 min). Applications for admission to Chesham Grammar School at the start of Year 7 are handled by Buckinghamshire Council. Students take the Buckinghamshire Secondary Transfer Test (STT) with test date 11 September 2025 and results 10 October 2025. School has over 1300 students. Almost all students progress to first choice university including Oxford and Cambridge.
