A shared 11+ entrance exam used by 7 grammar schools, administered by GL Assessment, testing English, Mathematics. Two GL Assessment papers. Max score: 282 (2 × 141). Switched from CEM to GL in 2021. School is increasing PAN from 155 to 170 for Year 7 admissions from September 2025. From September 2026, sixth form will open to both female and male students. School works in partnership with Atom Learning to provide students eligible for Pupil Premium with free online learning and 11+ exam preparation. For in-year admissions, students need to be successful in completing the CAT 4 admissions test. The 11+ assessments take place in the third week of September, administered by Wirral Local Authority.
